Opening of Litologika at Angurreta Harrobia Espazioa

On the 18th of September 2026 Angurreta Harrobia Arte Espazioa will present Litologika, a sculptural intervention by artists Iratxe Jaio and Klaas van Gorkum inside the former marble quarry of Mañaria. The installation will remain on display for two years. Visits can be arranged through Angurreta Harrobia.

Lexicon of vanishing words will be part of A rope being woven, a new exhibition within the 2026 annual programme of Mapamundistas.

The exhibition focuses on the concept of generation proposed by anthropologist Tim Ingold. Ingold uses the image of a rope as a metaphor for coexistence between generations: each person, each generation, contributes their own thread, their own making, to a common rope that is always in the process of being woven. This image stands in contrast to the metaphor of a stack, in which each new generation replaces the previous one in an ongoing succession.

Gidsfossiel: tentoonstelling in het Gernika Vredesmuseum

We zijn uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan een groepstentoonstelling in het Gernika Vredesmuseum, ter gelegenheid van het 90ste herdenkingsjaar van de militaire staatsgreep in Spanje in 1936. De titel van de tentoonstelling is "Fosil Guía: Arqueología de la Guerra Civil", en is samengesteld door archeoloog Josu Santamarina Otaola en visueel antropoloog Ander Gondra Aguirre. Hij loopt van september 2026 tot en met februari 2027.
