The Adviescommissie voor Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving of the Utrecht municipality has invited us to stay in a flat in Overvecht, and develop an art project.

During this mini residency we will take the zombie horrorfilm genre as a reference to address, both critically and playfully, the relationship between fear and public space in Overvecht. Our aim is to engage Overvecht residents in a remake of certain scenes from the famous movie “Dawn of the Dead” by George R. Romero, in which the last survivors of a zombie outbreak hide in an abandoned shopping mall.
