In a solo show in BilbaoArte we presented a video documenting the moments leading up to the occupation of places designed for human habitation: a young couple moving into a new flat subsidised by the authorities and their stroll around the neighbourhood - the landscaped, paved and asphalted areas that have already been completed but where social life has not yet taken over.

These images from the new habitat created by the large scale urban expansion that is taking place in Vitoria, Basque Country, were juxtaposed with videos recorded in Bilbao La Vieja, a run down and marginalised neighbourhood in Bilbao that is facing extensive regeneration.

During the exhibition, we presented a publication by the same name, with drawings that were traced from the videostills. The text is written by Miren Jaio, a critic and art historian. Through four scenes from well known movies, she reflects on the role of the family institution in shaping the borders between private and public space.
