Overvecht Zombiewalk

January - April 2008, Overvecht Utrecht

The Adviescommissie voor Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving of the Utrecht municipality has invited us to stay in a flat in Overvecht, and develop an art project locally. During this mini residency we are taking the zombie horrorfilm genre as a reference to address, both critically and playfully, the relationship between fear and public space in Overvecht. On the 19th of April, we conclude our working period in the neighborhood with a Zombiewalk, in which participants gather to haunt the streets of Overvecht. Check the special project website: www.zombies.parallelports.org
